cyclone air leak

my buddy has a stock a5 and when you hook air to the gun you can hear a slight air leak in the cyclone chamber took it to paintball ohio and the one guy (not bill) took it apart and checked everything and reassembled and said he cant find nothing wrong that would cause the air leak said o-rings look fine and doesnt know what is wrong. any suggestions

MilSim Products sells aftermarket QEP's MilSim Products - Quick Exhaust Piston Housing (QEPH) that will fix your problem depending on where it is leaking. There is a rubber washer that goes over the rod that may be letting air around it.

If it is not that washer then it must be leaking around the small black hose I am guessing. It is hard to be sure just going from what you wrote.

If it is leaking in the cyclone it is probably that ram housing and that rubber washer, but that is very odd.

Could it just be leaking down the bolt and it sounds like it is leaking through the cyclone?

Thanks Fets i really appreciate the responce what i am going to do now is take his cyclone and put it on my a5 and see if it still leaks and put mine on his and see. If his cyclone on my a5 leaks it would most likely be the rubber seals? And if my cyclone on his gun leaks then it would most likely be coming from the bolt area?

Yeah that is a good way to help narrow down the problem more. Let me know what happens and we can go from there.

well his a5 is more screwed up than i origanally thought i did what i said i was going to do and his gun was still leaking in the cyclone feed even with mine on there and his cyclone feed leaked on my gun so i dont know what is wrong now i called tippman first and they said it is the valve in the cyclone so they are sending me one for his but i did replace the clear o-ring in his gun where the tombstone goes up into the power tube and that seemed to help a little bit with the leak so i guess i will wait and get the valve from tippmman and replace and go from there

Are you near Cuyahoga Falls? You should take the marker to Underground Sports and ask for Dan. Tell him you were talking to the guys on NEOSMUT and we sent you in, he will have the marker up in running in no time.

It sounds like it is pretty messed up, you should take it to a pro and have it fixed. I believe his fee is only $20 but please don't quote me on that because I am not sure. Well worth it for a working marker and he might be less I am just not sure.

It just needs fixed, I would get the kid to pay for the repairs. That is the great thing about the A5 once you clean it up and replace the abused parts you won't have any problems with it.

Oh man, what a difference. Pinnacle is dramatically over priced, but Underground is very competitive on their prices. The main thing is Dan's knowledge of marker repair.

I still think MilSim Products has a better selection of woodsball and Milsim equipment at unbeatable prices, but if I need some help or want to shoot the breeze I love Underground Sports.

I wont go to pinnacle because not of prices but of service when i first got my spyder electra i went there and ask them what hopper i would need and with out hestation he said a halo b no other hopper will keep up with my gun the price 160 also i took my 3 yr old daughter with me i was holding her looking around and the guy followed me like i was going to steal something with hide it in the babys diaper routine or something so i went to paintball ohio after and bill the guy who runs it told me yhay all i would need is either a evo 2 (69.99) or the evo 3 (79.99) so lets just say i have been going to paintball ohio since then cause bill is more honest and good service and will look at guns without charging unless he has to fix plus if you buy parts from him he will install for free

Yep, that sounds about right. Have had some tough times with Tony ourselves, but he is an ok guy.

Paintball Ohio sounds like a nice shop, never been there. But that is how a shop should be run. You will really like Underground I think.
