Paint Starting to Peel on My A5
I have my A5 apart right now for its yearly cleaning, and I noticed the paint is really starting to bubble & peel in certain spots. I can attribute part of this to paint sitting there and eating away at the paint, because the places it is bubbling the worst is places where it is hard to clean paint out of (cracks and nooks).
But also, my A5 is probably 5+ years old, so much of the peeling is probably from use and exposure to elements. I took a dental pick and scraped off the paint anywhere it is peeling or bubbling so prevent paint from getting under it and hiding. For me this isn't a big deal because I use the UMP Shroud which covers my entire marker. Anyways, I just felt like posting something about my paintball gun. It is so reliable that I never think about it or post about it anymore, it is just always there and waiting when I need to shoot it - clean or not. |

Re: Paint Starting to Peel on My A5
ya, I had that happen to my old A5, Iceman's A5
I was cleaning my gun after the Toys for Tots game and was surprised I could even shoot it, the bolt and powertube was literally packed with mud. It was like I packed my gun with it and then got it wet. Im totally sold on the reliability of my gun, and this new barrel I got from MilSim makes it a lot more accurate ![]() *shameless plug
