Spyder MR1

After July 2nd I decided I had borrowed/rented equipment long enough and I was ready to buy my own gun. I debated over buying a tippmann carbine (im old school) or an A5. Fets and I got to talking one day and he mentioned the MR series from spyder.

I bought a used MR1 for a really good price and the only damage done to it was the grips were a little worn. I finally got around to taking some pictures of it last night. I uploaded them in the photo section.

First impressions - the gun is like a tank which was a big selling feature. It feels like I am holding a gun. It is purely mechanical and I stripped it down completely for the first time in less than 20 minutes. Taking the bolt out takes all of 30 seconds. It also is 'loud'. I don't think people will have a problem finding where I am on the field. This weekend I am going to try and find a place to shoot a few rounds.

The only bad thing was I couldn't get my head behind the sights with the stock the way it came. I did a little modifying and things work out great now.
