I liked most about it that it felt like I was holding a rifle, not a paintball gun. I love taking it apart too - very simple design and very easy to break apart. The bolt comes out with one simple pull pin and the spring assembly with another.
Even with CO2 I was having a lot of success long balling people from accross the field. I was surprised at how accurate it was with just a simple upgraded barrell.
Other than the drawbacks I mentioned before (stock) it really is a fantastic deal. It shot as good as some of the other guns I have shot before.
I should mention it gets a lot of bad press about the ball detent shearing off - well if you don't know what you are doing and put the bolt in backwards I GUARENTEE you will have this problem. But if you put it together correctly you will not have a problem that I can tell. It's not that difficult at all to make sure it goes in correctly I just think people rush through it and then blame the gun that they messed it up.
It is a very well constructed gun for a great price.

ive had my mr1 for 4-5months now. its reliable fairly accurate , and like you said built like a tank. now with practice i can completely feild strip , clean it and reasemble in under 7 mins.
i also sawed off the top of the stock. it is still realy sturdy( and it still smells funny) . by the end of the new years eve game i have had 67 kills with it.
i rate it 9 out of 10 in the semi catagory.
