World At War 2 @ BFPB

April 1945.

We are on the move again, that last campaign was brutal, no friends, no allies, everybody was out for themselves, i've never seen anything like that before and who would have thought the Japs would walk away the winners.

We are steaming at good speed somewhere in the south pacific, command won't tell us exactly where we are going, the only thing we know is something was discovered there that lots of people are going to want, which means they will pay nicely to have us help them get it. They've pulled out all the stops for this campaign to, our ranks have swelled after that last mission and we picked up a bunch of dissallusioned American paratroopers who were not happy with their commanding officer....we've got armor and air support and i don't know how it happened, supply must have really pulled the wool over somebody's eyes, but we picked up a nice special surprise for whoever gets in our way..BB-68 is really gonna blow some people away.....

April 18th Battlefront Paintball and ARC Troopers paintball presents The World at War 2.
Japan, Russia, China and Australia slugging it out for world domination, not to mention the nasty presence of the 13th Demi Brigade Mercenaries. Tanks, Rockets, "Aircraft" and a dozen other surprises are sure to make this scenario twice as much fun as last years.

Greg Hastings, Smart Parts and Smokin Products wills definetly be in attendence and probably a few more besides. Prizes will be given away at the end of the day.

Sunday April 19, after the WAW2, Greg Hasting will hold his "Ninja Paintball Clinic"

How many of you guys were there last year? I know it didn't feel like we had anybody playing against us! Hopefully we can mop everyone up again this year!

Based on what? A gut feeling? There is no way 500 people show up, I think one of the issues with games at BF is they over-hype them and under deliver. I would try to avoid contributing to that over-hype.

BF never came close to 500 players in the days before paintball slumped into the recession, I just can't imagine hitting that kind of number now. And if they did, they are not set up to handle that volume, it would be a disaster.

A couple of us are thinking of going Aqua, but we won't know until closer to the date.

plus the refs suck, and the slow to start games. i can see it right now 400 to 500 people and only two games in. or maby a wet back game where only 5 people get guns and 495 people don't. this place sucks

roflol.

i based that number on the fact that the last waw had their biggest turn out so far. plus with greg hastings, his media group and sponsors showing up, i guesstimated a substantialy larger turnout.

they are also converting the snack shack into the money/paint handleing area, to deal with a larger crowd. i also heard that the are getting another nitro/hpa fill station to deal with more and more ppl switching from co2. they are also going to use a "hard start", so if your not on the feild when the horn blows you will have to wait for the next briefing/respawn.

We'll see, I have heard many of these promises in the past... especially the hard start.

Is it still true that the Merc's can only be eliminated from the game with a head shot?

no, they can be killed by nades and mortars as well.

greg is gonna be a merc along with team first strike. so im expecting face rapage from the mercs big time. and when they are not beeing used by a faction, they will go rogue and fight anyone. they keep saying they have new toys up their sleeves, its killing my to find out what they are
