| No - rates of fire are out of control and it discourages newbs from sticking with it. |

Re: Paintball Park Bans Electro Hoppers for Rec Play....
Although I think the going to play chess was a bit extreme lol, I think this is going too far. Granted, it can be very intimidating to have the high rates of fire guns, but limiting to ONLY gravity fed is kinda, meh.
Maybe if they had a cap, like 15 bps or what not would be more reasonable. If anything they should have games once a month, or so often where they can limit to things like gravity feed only. |

Re: Paintball Park Bans Electro Hoppers for Rec Play....
I believe that banning electronic hoppers is over reacting and I don't even own an electronic hopper. War is not about equal oppertunities, and people don't always have the same gear. It is those who are the most prepaired that have the advantage in those terms, but lack of gear can be overcome by skill. Sure those who don't own electronics are at a disadvantage, but who's fault is that? I've once seen a friend of mind with less paint and a pump take out two guys with full hopers wielding semi-autos and he won. If thats possible, I don't see what the fuss is about when an electronic hopper only helps a little. You can only fire as fast as you can pull the trigger, and the faster they pull the trigger, the more likely they'll run out of paint.

Re: Paintball Park Bans Electro Hoppers for Rec Play....
I think the hopper issue is silly. If I'm following the thread/subject right, it would ban a q-loaded Phantom. Q-loaders can run IIRC up to 33bps. I think if anything, just cap the ROF of the marker for tourney and rec play. MilSim is a totally different style/type of play. If anything if there's a newb on the field about to get bushwacked with 20bps doom, grab his shirt and yank him down.
I will say this though, there are some young people out there 6-10 yo that want to experience MilSim paintball, and I wouldn't want them running into a high ROF field of fire especially in the CQB environment of speed ball and some of these rec ball places.
