It makes sense... much cheaper to shoot with same ergonomics and feel. 5.56 is so expensive. But of course you can shoot 5.56 when you want to.

No pistol, just the AR. My dad can reload 5.56 for excellent prices, but he said that bullets are in high demand. He can reload to get the price down to about $5/20rnd of match ammo. This Christmas I hope to do some shooting in his back yard. Of course I'd reaaaally like to get in on the New Year's Synergy game. I'm supposed to work, but maybe the census will drop and I'll get called off.
