By all means, post questions at least so I may improve. If you got a question, I have an answer.

Hey Thorn, good start. Just throwing in my two cents, but you should revisit your language, grammar, and spelling. It may seem trivial to some, but it really would help legitimize your statements and goals. Properly worded documents, email, posts, and sites, adds to the credibility of what is said.
In addition, when I was reading what you had there, I was confused at first of whether your primary goal was to build a team or to build a league. Last comment, and please don't take offense to this, because no offense is intended. But one of the things I noticed is that you made your self a five star general. I don't know where to begin with commenting on this, but to at least say something, I guess that I would say it is a bit over the top. And if you want others to take your league seriously, try not to put yourself on such a high pedestal. I think Captain of Team Ragnarok and league Administrator is a good start. I hope the comments and opinions are taken positively, for that was my intent. Good luck with the league, and I will be keeping in touch. |

As for spelling and grammar, I'd have to say this. "I try my best." Once again, thank you for your comment. It's a work in progress. P.S.- Remember, it's just a temporary site for now. All other comments are appreciated.

Sorry if I somehow offend you Redmonkey, but I believe this may help the others.
Re: Your OPL poll.... ![]() Private Thorn in the Enemy is online now Enlisted: October 26th, 2006 Location: Windsor, Ohio Posts: 87 ![]() Rep Power: 1 Re: Your OPL poll.... Quote: Your OPL poll.... In all honesty, I can't really answer your poll question. I've looked over your site, and have seen your posts in the past, but there is still no orginazational information on your league that's provided to give people an idea of just what exactly you have in mind for your league. Your enthusiasm for wanting to start the OPL is great, and you should continue to develop it by all means. Getting your website online is a big step, however, from the standpoint of attracting interested groups or other potential teams, there is no new information on there to define the Who, what, when, where, and how stuff (the why is cause we all love playing and competing... I'll give you that one :-) Please don't let my comments here dampen your spirit, or take them as an insult, but rather as constructive criticism. Every good idea started off with a first step, and whatever form that step takes is neecessary in order to be able to take the next one. You've taken your first step in forming your team, with your league in development. From your Team Ragnarok roster, it appears you have a lot of guys willing to participate on your squad to play in a game as a team, which is awesome. At this point, I would suggest you take steps to hash out some details to give people more of an idea on what you envision your league being or becoming. You have a rough vision for your league explained on your website, but I think you may get a better response from other teams if people had some details they can discuss amongst their groups to determine if this is something they want to get involved with. People may be interested in a league, but without knowing details, it's hard to commit to something. Look at it like this, if you were someone who wanted to buy a car, would you respond to an ad that simply said "Car for sale, 4 wheels, works on road, will take cash, wanna buy it?" Probably not, details are what draw people and peak their interest. Someone who is looking for a stick shift, 4x4, red, ford truck for under $2500 is not likely to be drawn to the ad with minimal details. The same principles apply to how you are promoting and trying to gain interest and participants in your league. What we know of your league is that participants/teams will play in the woods, maybe play speedball, practice on private property (just Ragnarok, or everyone?), maybe play speedball, and might go to Battlefront. Again, I'm not trying to knock your league, or put it down, but I want to know more about it. Do you have an anticipated schedule of practices, games, events, etc? I noticed in your event section, you have the Battlefront Scenario Game information posted there. Do you plan on having league games as part of the larger scenarios? The event calender is confusing somewhat. Is it just a play for fun league? Is there a regular schedule? Will there be eliminations or a end of season tournament? Are the games played on private property? If so, will people need to bring their own paint and air? Will their be chronographing on site, or a FPS limit when playing in the league? Are people allowed to use smoke grenades, paint grenades, LAW rockets, etc? Without getting some answers to questions like this, it just sounds like a car for sale with 4 wheels that drives on the road. I'm not saying you should answer all of these questions right here and now, but I'm just trying to give you some ideas for things to think about. The more details you can provide up front on the structure and format, the more I think people can get an idea of where you're going with this, and then they can gague their interest. I know your venture is a work in progress, but just remember as you contonue to develop it, make information and details available to people so they can gague their interest in whether they want to be involved. I'm not sure about any other teams, but speaking for Team N.E.O.S.M.U.T , at present, our interest in your league lies in learning more about it, the format, structure, etc. so we can make a decision on whether or not to participate. I didn't want to post this publicly, becuase it's not my intent to embarass you, or detract from what you are trying to start up. I hope you can see this note for what it is intended to be, constructive, and in a helping manner from someone who has gone through a startup process from something similar like Fets, RodentX and I did with N.E.O.S.M.U.T. last year. Anyways, I do think a local league would be a ton of fun, which is why I am asking for the additional details so we can determine if it is right for us to participate in. I think you gotta put the structure and format together, throw it against the wall and see what sticks. You can always make changes along the way. I hope this helps get you thinking about a few things that might help you better develop your league. Good luck, and we'll be looking for those details in the future! - RedMonkey lol. That was a bit long, but thank you. All your "constructive critisizm" helps a lot. I would not have minded if you would have posted this, it may help others. If you have any more questions, throw them at me (unless its like something solid, then please don't, lol.) The more questions the better. It will help me improve on the ideas at hand and answer them properly. In the OPL section at "Head Quarters" there is a Q and A section. Thats will you will find some of your answers. If I did not give and answer for some of your questions its probably because I did not understand the question. Fets may still be holding on to a PM about the Who, What, When, Where, and How thing as long as a goal for the OPL. Hope my assistance was helpful. -Echo 2- __________________ For those who couldn't figure this out, this is one of the few PM's I got a couple days ago. And Fets, do you still have that PM I sent you conserning the OPL in which I answered a couple of your questions? If so may you send me it, I seem to have deleted it.
