Y2K8 2008 Global Conquest

Does anyone plan on going to this game? Is there anything out of the norm we would need? Any suggestions on these big games never been at more than 3-4 hundred in a game. Is there such an over abundance of people that it makes it hard to play with this many people. Any suggestions on hotels in this area?

I don't think anyone is going to Global this year (from NEOSMUT). But basically you just need all the stuff you normally take on a trip plus all your paintball stuff.

It is important to have extra equipment, you are driving all that way and playing for 12 hours. So your equipment takes a beating and it would be awful for it to not work an hour or two into the game.

This is also a big game in every sense of the word, the field is much larger than Battlefront. I think they play on something like 120 acres of land, and own 180 total acres that the field sits on. So make sure you have water on the field with you to stay hydrated, it is a long dusty walk to the staging area.

The field accomodates the group size well, Global is the smallest of the 3 games at Hell Survivors, and it is a good size group for that field. You obviously can have much more of an impact as part of a larger group, but you will find ways to impact the game depending on your playing style. Just remember to be aggressive and avoid the long balling shootouts that are popular.

You will get shot a lot. You will get shot a lot after you are shot out, and while you are in. After going to a game like this you will come back home and laugh at what people around here call "bonus balling". So just try not to get upset, and have fun. I know that is easier said than done, because both RedMonkey and I have gotten penalty punches on our ID cards at Hell Survivors for losing our cool, it can get very frustrating - lol.

I am not sure about hotels as I prefer to camp, but I know there are several listed on HS website that they suggest, but there are no hotels within 1/2 hour of the field I do know that.

Thanks for the input. I figured keeping water with you was a must i have a hydration pack and i might even get one for my girl to wear. Where did you guys camp and how close was it? My girlfriend thinks this will be fun so i'll make sure to warn her again about the bonus balls! lol i can imagine when you get hit there are probaly 10 people shooting at you at all times. Smoke? They probaly don't let hot burn smoke like Bf do they? Well again thanks for your help.

No, they don't allow fuse lit smoke grenades. As for camping, Hell Creek Ranch is awesome or you can camp at the field. I have only ever stayed at Hell Creek though.
