I decided to start this thread after a talk I had with Fets and Feral at lunch the other day. Most of us on the team are employees at the same company. There's a few QA analysts, a few Server guys, some Telecom fellas, etc... I've been on the site at work before and seeing the time of day that some threads are replied to, it seems like NEOSMUT is taking over the companies bandwidth, haha. How long do you guys think the site will be allowed at work? It seems I get denied access to a lot of websites there.

Well, given the overall size of the company, I would say we are really just a drop in the bucket when it comes to the bandwidth used. When we started this, we realized it is pretty much only a matter of time before they decide to add our site to the list of "inappropriate" sites at work, thus banning our access from company pc's.

Personally, I try to browse the site on my phone most of the time at work. When it does get banned, you guys will all have to get Motorola Q Smartphones and Internet access on it like me so you can ease your symptoms of withdrawl. :-)

Honestly, I don't see it getting banned anytime soon. If you think about the size of the company and how many employees visit ESPN.com, NFL.com, MLB.com, CNN.com, their fantasy team sites etc... and those sites are still around...

Our site is a forum - we don't Stream music or videos, we do not have porn or excessive foul language - I don't think we have anything to worry about. Besides, if NEOSMUT.com does get banned here - I'll just add another domain name and redirect it from there - hehe - or we can access the site via the static IP address. (Then I need to worry about our IP pool getting banned)

The only thing we need to worry about is Fets.

He posts so much, when he should be working, that I'm sure it sends up red flags everywhere.

I doubt it gets banned. 1, The site doesnt generate enough traffic from Prog for that. 2, our language is pretty decent. And 3, the things I just mentioned are the way to get it banned, so it probably wont happen. Paintball and sports sites in general dont get banned.

I think we are good to go unless prog wants to shut down all internet access. Then we just do what Mike did and get a NEOSMUT capable phone.. lol
