That's an excellent point Tac. I'm of the opinion that I am going to use what feels good to me as opposed to what fits a specific label. And, quite honestly, for me, I get a better feeling off of the design on "space guns" (as some like to call them) vs the Mil Sim markers. Like others mentioned, I like feeling the kick that the Mil-Sim's provide also, but, for me, the size of them just don't mesh well with me.

I think a good rule for anyone to follow when purchasing a marker is to go with what you like best, and what feels good to you. By doing so, you are a stronger asset to your team. If it's an $80 marker over a $400 marker, then so be it.

Go with something that doesn't feel as good for your style and, while you might be more in line with a look or a specific category of gear, it's not worth it if it inhibits your potential, thus weakening the team you are on.

Re: sp-1 vibe xe

who needs an electro to get a higher level of performance on the woodsball field? I have a mech autococker that (after using it for the first time this weekend) I absolutely love, and it gives me exactly what I want in a marker for he time being... the onnly annoying part was having to shake he gravity feed hopper I was using... truth be told, at this point, the only things about my a5 that I missed was the heft of the gun and the cyclone feed.

only issue I had were a couple of barrel breaks, due to the fact that BF had sorta shitty paint.

Re: sp-1 vibe xe

The Cyclone is actually the selling point for me on the A5. It is the one thing that keeps me from wanting a marker like the SP-8. As awesome as the SP-8 is, I don't like the loader and plastic feed necks that love to break.

Just a personal thing, but it makes a big difference to me. I like not having to worry about batteries in the loader or if I turned it on/off, or if it is feeding properly.

koolaid and I both have a Trilogy as well. For $100, you can't get a better marker today (IMHO).

Two tips for your cocker....

1 - Make sure you don't lose the bolt pin that holds the bolt in the back block. You lose that, and it ruins your day quickly (it happens)

2 - In terms of a hopper, they are now discontinued, but if you can get your hands on a Viewloader Revolution (Revvy, as most people call them) they are a great add on to the Trilogy. It's battery powered, but not overly heavy to disturb the feel of the marker.

you mentioned in your earlier post about being a team assset. And then I read this post and the one thing that comes to mind is reliability. Your team needs to depend on you and your weapon is an extension of you. (at least while it's game on) I'm not trying to knock your choice to use a space gun but I think dependability should be a consideration when choosing a gun for a specific type of play. It's been my experiance that space guns just require alot of attention and you just don't have the time in milsim games that you do in speedball. Like Dronze said why do you need electro in a woodsball game?
