Barrell upgrades on SP8

Do the same barrell upgrades for the ION work for the SP8? I realise that the threading is the same, but the shroud is more or less fit to the barrell that comes with the SP8. I was wondering if anyone has tried any other barrells with it to see if it fits.

Re: Barrell upgrades on SP8

Yeah you can put all the Smart Parts barrels on it I think, I know the Freak kit & J&J Edge Kit fit it fine. RodentX or Dobbs could probably expand on my answer.

Re: Barrell upgrades on SP8

You can either get the stealth barrel kit that Smartparts supplies (Rodent has this) or a barrel kit (J+J/Freak). However be carefull with what you get, I believe the minimum length is 12 inches for the sp8.

Re: Barrell upgrades on SP8

They make the Stealth Barrel as both a single piece barrel, and also as a front end for the Freak and All American backs. If I'm not mistaken, all Smart Parts guns use the same barrel threading now, so finding one shouldn't be an issue, and the SP8 is just an Ion with a body kit, so they've always used the same threads.
