Question about the SP8

When you set the gun in Non Eyes mode, and pull the trigger are you supposed to hear a very faint beeping sound? I can't hear it unless I old the gun up to my ear.

I gassed it up today to show some friends at my ninja party, it fired twice and quit. The gun is still gassed, and I didn't have another battery to see if it was too low to fire the gun. It was then that I noticed the beeping sounds.

The first thing I'd do is check the battery. 99.9% of all issues with electronic markers start with the battery. Are you using the stock board in the SP-8, or has it been upgraded to a Virtue?

It's the stock board.

I'm hoping it's the battery. I haven't even gotten to play with this sucker yet. I'm waiting to get a vest.

When you get a chance - swap out the battery and dry fire it a few times. Hopfully you don't have a bad board.

I have a Virtue Board in my Ion, and it sounds EXACTLY the same as what was happening to me at our last practice. Regardless of the board you have, if you swap the battery your problem should go away. At least, that was my experience.

What that sound is, is the battery being unable to open the solenoid all the way.

When you shut it off for about a half hour and then turn it back on, will it work again for a couple shots? I bet it will, because the battery "charges" itself up (to a very small degree) enough to blow it's load on a couple more shots.
