I just put a couple more pics of my MR-2 up in photos. Question am I the only person who owns this gun?

On here you are. KyleSito owns the MR1 and the rest of the team is mostly A5's and SP8's with a few 98's in the mix. Dobbs and myslef have Spyder Pilot's as backup markers. And there are a few Ions being used as backup markers too I guess. Can't think of much else.

Look for pics of my SP8 soon. Probably take them tonight. I was considering the MR2 until the SP8 purchasing opportunity presented itself in the form of 0% financing

Yeah, they both look like great markers. The one thing that your spyder has going for it is simplicity. They are reliable and very easy to work on & clean. Plus they are capable of some pretty impressive trigger speeds & have tons of upgrades available.

I know the MR-2 is the hotness but you still got to say the Sp-8 rocks. I still want a Sp-8 as my back up marker instead of my JT but i don't have the funds right now.

Can't speak for the MR2 but the MR1 is as accurate of a gun as I have ever shot. I agree though, an HPA system would eliminate some of the inconsistent drops in velocity. I usually don't like spyders but I really fell in love with the MR series.

If I were to pick-up a backup marker - I'd seriously consider the MR2 or the newer MR3. I'd like to pop off a few rounds from the MR-1 and MR-2 the next time we meet if you guys don't mind?

Not at all. Hopefully I will have the stock and foregrip on there that should make the marker look pretty sweet.

I would like to try out the MR2 to see what I am missing.

Not to high-jack your thread Hibo, but just wanted to let you MR Spyder fans know, that I have a special running on the MR-3s right now. If you are seriously interested in buying one, send me an email: john@milsimproducts.com

By the way, the sale ends on 11/25/06. Don't ask me about the sale in this thread, I don't want to high-jack the thread anymore than I already did.
