Milsiming an A5 or X7..?
Hey guys.. Ive been thinking of buying another gun, either an A5 or maybe an X7 probably in the summer time once i get some more money.. And i want to make it milsim because i have a shocker at this point and i love it, but i also want to have a milsim marker b/c i used to own an A5 a year ago and i loved that gun but didnt really get to put any milsim customizations on it except for a stock, and a scope before i fell in love with highend electros(shockers, pmrs) lol. Sometimes i just feel like playing with a milsim marker (looking through your picture gallery inspires me lol). What do you guys think i should buy, the A5 or the X7? and, What milsim customizations do you guys prefer to put on the gun?
Ive noticed that alot of people have the G36 and UMP setups these days and i kinda want to customize mine a little different, so i dont have what everyone has. Id like some opinions on what you guys think.. Thanks..!

I just got a used X7 and so far I love it. The A5 has some cool shrouds and mods though, and I believe it's a little more versatile as far as making it look unique.

Re: Milsiming an A5 or X7..?
I haven't seen as many G36 and UMPs as I have MP5 mods. A close second would be the M4/M16 variant. I would say a AK47 is seen on occasion.
With that said, a wood stock AK47 or a metal AK74 with real folding stock would be unique. RAP4 and Engler have some nice mods, which of course MILSIM PRODUCTS can get you.
If you want something completely unique, you could go with a world war II scenario style look, like a Thompson SMG...

Re: Milsiming an A5 or X7..?
I guess it depends on budget also...
with the X7 you are a little limited on the mods, but all the mods for it are really nice. The A5 has a lot more history and a lot more mods available and the base marker is cheaper to buy, but with the A5 all the mods are a lot heavier. That is the one thing without holding a modded X7 you can't appreciate, is the light weight.
There are a lot of cool mods out there that are more unique, but none of them are cheap.

Re: Milsiming an A5 or X7..?
I have both markers and I will say I have had zero trouble with my A5, the X7 is alittle more tempermental when it comes to playing in the colder weather. I love them both but I would choose the A5 if it is not going to be your #1 gun. My 2 cents Dawg!

Re: Milsiming an A5 or X7..?
I'm going to invest in a BT Delta. It looks exactly like an MP5 and has had very good reviews. My advice is to just be unique, you'll get more "oooh's" at the field.

Re: Milsiming an A5 or X7..?
Depends on what gun you want to model yours after. If its a heckler and koch or another polymer based weapon, I would highly recomend the x7. However, if you want an ak-47 Tacamo or something like that has some wicked a-5 shrouds, mags, and stocks you can get.
