Advice
Alright, I would like to get some advice from the wise members of N.E.O.S.M.U.T. on this one, so here is the situation.
Two months ago, I purchased the A-5 M82A1 sniper listed on this site (http://www.neosmut.com/ppc/showproduct.php?product=10) for $225US. Now, a few months later, I still have not received the stock, double trigger, or the barrel attachment from the seller. Also, when I went to use it, it would leak air from where the the remote line plug screws into the marker, on the bottom (technical term?). Me and blackhawk spent a few hours experimenting and trying to fix this problem, but still nothing. We used teflon tape around it, and that worked, but it was still leaking a small amount of air. I'm fed up now, and I think I am going to send it back to him and ask for a return of my money. Or should I wait for him to send the remaining parts (soon) and then try and sell it for profit myself? I would like to make money but I don't like the thought of screwing someone with a leaking marker as I have been screwed. I also have my old A-5 (seen here http://www.neosmut.com/pp/showphoto.php?photo=1653) that I also want to sell, I wish to get something different, me and blackhawk were talking about getting some T68 Gen5's and I'm kind of sick of the problems I've been having with A-5's/used guns and preferably want something new. So, what do you think I could get for my first A-5 and what would be wise to look at to spend it on. Thanks in advance for the help. Last edited by RodentX; December 30th, 2007 at 05:26 PM. |

Re: Advice
I would try and get my money back. you dont know how much longer you'll have to wait and if you do resell faulty equipment it makes you look bad.

Re: Advice
When was the last time you contacted Tucker? If I were you, I would start there. It does state clearly in his ad what comes with this purchase, so I understand your frustration.

Re: Advice
I agree with tacsnipa. Get the money back, unless the seller coughs up the rest of goods ASAP.
It sounds like the bottom line adapter may have a bad seal (the verticle ASA leaks) or the threads of line itself are stripped/crossthreaded (leaking from the verticle line.) Soapy water will tell you where the problem is(bubbles,bubbles,bubbles...) Then either switch out the male asa with your backup A5 to test or get a new male asa and line. Oh, also inspect the threads of the tombstone, if they are toast you just need a new tombstone (only if you are keeping the marker.) If this is too technical, slap me with a wet mackeral ![]() All markers/guns need a certain amount of maintenance, especially used items. I wouldn't sell your first A5 unless you really don't want it anymore. A5s are really reliable from what I know, plus you've got a e-trigger and flatline on it IIRC. In the end you have to comfortable with the product. Ghostman and Fets might be able to lend some advice too.

Re: Advice
Yes I have the receipts, I sent a money order and he said that a friend had the parts, but he got them back and is going to ship them this week.

Re: Advice
Tucker is a regular at Battlefront I believe, I think a younger player. If he sent you a marker that leaks & he did not tell you ahead of time I would absolutely send it back for a refund, but make sure you get the money first or do it in person.
Sure we could probably fix it, but you still don't have all the items you paid for and it is leaking. If it were me, I would get my money back. |

Re: Advice
His profile lists him as 12 yrs old, I think he may be the son of one of the owner's at Battlefront, I can't remember.
Let us know what you decide to do. |

Re: Advice
Yes he is related to the owners and dosn't seem like a bad kid, just he is that, a kid, and might not have ever done anything like this before. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and not associate him with suspicious actions other then being young. I'm going to contact him about a return.
Or should I continue to try and fix it, get the rest of the parts, and try reselling it? Would I be able to get much for my original A-5? Enough to get a new marker that is. |

I would return it myself, just because it is leaking and that is probably why he sold it. You can get enough out of your A5 for a new marker, depending on what that new marker is. Did you say what marker you are looking to get? I guess you mentioned the RAP4, and no you can't sell your A5 for enough to get that, but it would help offset the cost. |

Re: Advice
Yeah....I emailed him to see if he still has the money.
And I'm looking for a new marker that is different (then an A5). I'm not really interested on how fast I can shoot but how accurately I can shoot, I like to put paint onto my target. And of course, I want something that looks as milsim as possible. I was looking at Jax SP8 for sale and that dosn't look too shabby... |

Re: Advice
My advice is to deal with Ghostman if at all possible.
