Question RT troubles and Apex issue

1st, I loaned my marker to a bud, and it came back all f@#$% up. The RT will not adjust down to where it wont stop blat blat blattering; it just rips no matter how I adjust it. Any ideas on how to fix it?
2nd. The idiot also took off the tip of my Apex, and lost the top half...that got him popped in the mouth (seriously). I have tried to contact the people at BT Designs, and can NEVER get a hold of them with any consistency. And I just got layed off 3 weeks ago, so I need to try another route.
Any ides on this?
[If there's a BST forum here (?), I could trade a cocker threaded 12" J&J ceramic for another Apex. I just haven't seen one.]
I appreciate your help.... Seriously.

Re: RT troubles and Apex issue

I don't believe we have anyone on our team that owns/uses and Apex, but we do have some pretty tech savvy players, so someone might be able to help you. You could also head over to Clevelandpaintball.com and post the same question there. We run that site as well. Between both sites, someone might be able to help you out.

Ever take the/a battery out and leave it out for awhile? Most electric markers will typically be reset to default settings without having power for awhile.

Re: RT troubles and Apex issue

If your good at tinkering you can at least see if something is majorly broken.

As for the Apex I am not sure what kind of advice you need. Not sure if it broke and you have all the peices or your ex-bud lost the top half all together.

IF you have the peice it does not look that hard to screw or glue them back together assuming they are still aligned.

By RT I would assume you as speaking of your response trigger. I am not sure how similar they (BT's) version is to tippmans but here is a diagram of Tippmans. Im sure the orientation and logic is the same you just can mix and match all the parts.

These are both for 98 custom.....

This is for the A-5

Nopt sure if it helps but you never know what a diagram can do for you...

Good luck.

Technically the BT doesn't have an official RT, but uses the A5 kit (at least mine did)

I would suggest checking all the seals in your marker, your power tube (cracked maybe) for the blat problem. As for the Apex problem, I'd have to know exactly wwhat was missing.

I'm rolling with the 98Custom Pro, not the BT. Sorry for the confusion. I have never taken the Apex apart, so I cannot tell you [exactly] what is missing. But I can say that what is missing is the top half of the cylinder. It has a 'slide' to make adjustments for curve degree and or the distance that it goes. From what I gather, there are Two parts. The bottom 1/2 and the top, these screw together.
But the top 1/2 is the crucial piece. The one that enables it to do its thing.
Thanks,
Shooter

There are 3 small orings on the air tube, one of them is more than likely torn or damaged. I had the same problem of not being able to turn it down and it will empty your hpa or co2 tank in a hurry. My first question is, do you or your buddy use co2 in it? Co2 is known to cause the r/t orings to leak causing excessive firing. I would suggest calling Tippmann, I was reading a few forum posts from another site where the person call Tippmann directly and they had him send his faulty r/t in and they sent him the upgraded r/t. It is similar to the solid tube design that they use on the X7. If an X7 r/t will fit I have one I will sell you new in the box for very cheap. PM me if you are interested.

Thanks Beezer;
I have been runnning CO2 in it. But have a nitro tank now. And you're right. I tore it down LN, and one was wore from the freeze of CO2.
If I was not layed off I would buy the RT. But..., ty neway

Hey Blacksheep32,
Apologize for the confusion, but it's a 98 Custom. Not BT. TY neway.
