barrle leak in us-5

i was using my gun the other day and i relised that i had a leak in the barrle area so i took the gun apart no dirt seemed to be on it or any thing...so would you think that all i need to do is get a new cup seal? or would one of you more marker tech guys want to take a look at it.

i would take it to the pro shop but takeing it apart is so much of a pain ( not for me i mastered it) that i dont think they would do it even if i bought it from them and its still under one year warenty...

what do you all think?

If it's under warranty, I would use the warranty if I were you. That's what it's for!

Try the cup seal first then send it for warranty repair if that doesn't fix it. 99% of the time a leak down the barrel is the cup seal.

Call them and tell them what is happening. They might send you a cupseal for free if you tell them that you can put it in yourself.

I agree with this. The one way to prevent maintenance issues is to continually oil your marker. Most of the wear and tear is usually avoided by simply oiling your marker frequently IMHO.

Right on. Another way to save your cup seal is to always **** the bolt back before you put air into the marker. A lot of people don't know to do this, but you should always pull the bolt back and then air up.

This of course applies to blow back markers only, not you electro pneumatic guys.

Yeah, you are doing everything you should then. c ock the bolt before gassing up and a drop or two in the asa. Just one of those things I guess.
